Contests

The Seed Genetics Direct yield contest recognizes top-performing growers of corn, soybeans and wheat by awarding prizes based on the highest documented yields from Seed Genetics Direct-planted fields, with entry open and free for eligible growers. Winners in the 2025 contest, for example, included growers in Ohio and Indiana who achieved standout yields and received seed and herbicide awards in proportion to their finishing place. The contest highlights strong genetic performance in real-world conditions and celebrates advances in yield potential across multiple crops.

To enter the Seed Genetics Direct Wheat Yield Contest, complete the SGD entry form or provide a copy of the National Wheat Yield Contest entry form to SGD. The SGD entry deadline is July 10. Entry is free!

To enter the National Wheat Yield Contest or a state yield contest, visit yieldcontest.wheatfoundation.org/. The state and national entry deadline is May 15. National entrants are automatically entered in state and SGD contests. (SGD will cover the costs of membership and entry fee! Just send a copy of the national or state entry form to SGD for reimbursement.)

To enter the National Corn Yield Contest or a state contest, visit ncga.com/get-involved/national-corn-yield-contest. The state and national entry deadline is August 16. National entrants are automatically entered in state and SGD contests.
